I am deeply rooted in this city and its people. My education prepared me to take on the challenges of our legal system and instilled in me a commitment to equity and fairness. It was here in Philadelphia that I began my legal journey, first as a district attorney and later as a defense attorney.
As a district attorney, I fought tirelessly to uphold the law and protect the rights of the vulnerable. I took on cases with the understanding that justice must be pursued with integrity and without prejudice. Later, as a defense attorney, I stood by individuals who often felt unheard, ensuring their voices were not drowned out in a system that can sometimes feel impersonal or unjust. These dual perspectives have given me a unique understanding of our legal system—its strengths, its shortcomings, and its potential for meaningful reform.
As a proud alumnus of LaSalle University and Temple Law School,
I am running to serve as a judge because
Philadelphia deserves judges who reflect its diversity, understand its challenges, and are committed to building a safer and fairer city for all. I am proud of my record, but I am even more committed to the future we can build together—a future where our courts are trusted to be just and compassionate.
Today, I ask for your support—not for myself, but for what we can achieve together. Endorsing my candidacy means endorsing fairness, impartiality, and a judiciary that prioritizes people and principles over politics. It means believing in a justice system that works for everyone, not just for some.
Thank you for your trust, your encouragement, and your belief in what we can accomplish together. Let’s move forward united, committed to a better Philadelphia, one decision, one courtroom, and one community at a time.
Thank you.
I believe that the bench must be a place of impartiality, humanity, and fairness. A judge’s role is not to rule with bias or preconception but to ensure that every person who enters the courtroom is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, race, or circumstances.
As a lifelong Democrat, my values align with our party’s commitment to justice, equity, and opportunity for all. But I believe these values transcend politics—they are the bedrock of a fair society. My experiences on both sides of the aisle as a prosecutor and a defender have reinforced my belief that our courts must be places where the rule of law is applied fairly, where every case is heard thoughtfully, and where justice is not only served but seen to be served.
